I sure hope so.  This is another card made using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set.  If you haven't picked up this stamp set yet, I am not sure what you are waiting for.  Isn't this little bird in a cage just as cute as can be?

The polka dots are made with a stamp set that has been around almost as long as I have been with Stampin' Up!  It's called "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" and is a real WORK HORSE!

Colors used are Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery,and Whisper White.  The stand for the bird cage is made with a sliver of card stock for the pole and a half of an punched oval.  The Photo Corner punch really sets off the card front as well as the inside of the card too.

Pretty and Soft

Another wonderful FREE Sale-A-Bration Stamp set.  I love it when the stamp sets also have greetings (words) in them!  It's like a BONUS to me.  This adorable FREE stamp set is called Happy Moments.  I have some more great ideas for using this stamp set, so be sure to check back in the next few days.

I have paired this set with the beautiful Double Sided Designer Paper available in the current Occasions Mini Catalog - it is called "Shades of Spring".  Believe me I can not wait till Spring arrives, hopefully this card will make it at least feel like Spring. 

The ruffle around the oval is made using more of the same designer paper and the Pinking Hearts Border punch that is also available in the Occasions mini catalog - a fun embellishment to make.  Here is a close up of it:

Simple Easter Treats

Easy Peasy in my opinion, One Chocolate Bunny a So Saffron Oval (with glitter on it too) and a Mini Milk Carton made with the NEW Mini Milk Carton die in the Occasions mini catalog and you have a recipe for a treat!  See yesterday's post for how I make my bunnies.

The milk carton is made with the "Shades of Spring" Double Sided Designer Paper.  I'll bet you would welcome one of these filled with Jelly Beans or maybe Chocolate, Oh Yes, make mine chocolate please!

Cute as a Bunny...

ANDa Chocolate Bunny at that!  On a recent SKYPE call with my almost three year old granddaughter, I showed her this cute little "chocolate" bunny.  And she does get it, that it is only on the screen and she can not actually reach out an touch it.  She tried that once and thought that it was so funny.  NOW she reaches out and PRETENDS to take it.  When she saw this one, she reached out, pretended to take it AND proceeded to PRETEND EAT IT!!!!  Too funny, and had me LOL.

I think the best way to make this look the most real is to Emboss the bunny(page43 in the Occasions Mini Catalog available until April 30, 2010 # 116980) using Chocolate Chip CRAFT INK and clear embossing powder on to Close to Cocoa card stock, cut it out and SPONGE the edges with Close to Cocoa CLASSIC ink.  The Happy Easter is stamped using StazOn ink onto one of the adorable little Glassine mini envelopes.

Good enough to eat?

A Place to Write it Down

 
This wipe off board is SO EASY TO MAKE - pick your favorite Double Sided Designer Paper, embellish it if you wish, frame it and you have a wonderful wipe off board.  You can make one for every room in your home to match or coordinate with your own decor!  This one is made with Bridesmaid's specialty paper and the flowers were cut using the Big Shot die cutting machine.  The use the Bella Bleu DSDP (double sided designer paper) that has been lightly sponged around with Close to Cocoa Classic ink.

I wish I had taken some pictures of some that I have gifted using Kaleidoscope and Nouveau Chic DSDP.  They are WONDERFUL CHOICES FOR THIS PROJECT TOO!

Embellishing Can be the Key

Buttons are a great embellishment for a card.  They can be kept very flat and making mailing a breeze!  I have recently realized that even a single button can really add to a card and by adding a punched image with it you can keep it quite flat, not adding any extra bulk.  ]

The rest of this card is so super easy, I'm almost embarrassed to post it - it is just a piece of the wonderful Designer Paper "Welcome Neighbor" in the FREE pack of paper that is available during Sale-A-Bration.  there are so many great choices for picking FREE items this year, it will be a challenge unless you just go ahead and double or triple your order so you can choose all or almost all of them.

More Free Paper

 
Cards using the paper in the "Welcome Neighbor" pack  are so easy to make that it is hard to stop.  This time I chose an all over pattern paper - then made the greeting my embellishment.  The stamp is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Whimsical Words.  The slot punch is the perfect way to lace your ribbon around some of the card stock layers, tie it and embellish with a Corduroy Button in Pumpkin Pie color.

Using Designer Papers

When you choose to use Designer Papers on your projects, such as this one, you only really need to choose a greeting - if you want one, some embellishments and select your color palette from the designer paper.
